PUTTING CHRIST BACK INTO CHRISTMAS!!!

Sometimes we forget what Christmas is really about.

It's easy to.

I mean with parties, shopping, eating and so on... the real meaning can get lost.

But let's try to focus a little more on Christ this Christmas!

Here are some ideas...

This is an amazing little pack you can download for the kids. It includes:
3 Part Cards, Beginning Sounds, Matching Cards, Read Write the Room, Pocket Cards, Which One Is Different, What Comes Next, Pre Writing Practice, Pattern Cards, 10 Piece Puzzles, 4 Piece Puzzles, Size Sorting, Coloring Pages, Writing Pages, Dot Marker Pages, Picture to help tell the story, Small Book, and more.

Another idea is to participate in The Mom Challenge.

This site has some great ideas, not only for the kids but for us, as parents.
Don't buy any presents that cannot be paid off by the end of the year. Have your kids participate in some sort of charity. Play Christian Christmas carols in the home. Don't stress on Christmas morning, just enjoy it!

You've heard of the 12 Days of Christmas, right?

What about the 12 Days of Christmas to Christ?

Here is a sample: A partridge in a pear tree: The partridge could represent Jesus, who said He would shelter his chicks under his wings, similar to what a mother partridge does (see Luke 13:34). Tell family members to make a list of Jesus’s qualities and personality traits (compassionate, forgiving, powerful, etc.). Adults and older children can find scriptures in the topical guide that correspond with each of these characteristics.

Lastly, The Christ Book.

This is pretty simple. You just need a 3 ring binder, sleeve protectors and the kit. It starts off with a table of contents and each day you have a different topic. There is a short explanation, the scripture(s) that pertains to that explanation, a picture, and a song. It would seriously take 5-10 minutes a night.

I hope we can find ourselves with the Spirit of Christmas this year.

And i hope that some of these ideas can help and possibly become traditions in your home!
